Starting at 9 AM, every third Friday of each month, we brew conversations and perspectives about issues impacting entrepreneurs and business managers in Mesa County.  Each month we feature speakers on actionable business acumen topics and networking among local businesses managers.

Ammon Pierce
Marketing and Communications Coordinator, City of Fruita

Ammon manages social media and communications for City of Fruita tourism, Parks and Recreation, and the Mike the Headless Chicken Festival. With a background in film, photography, and storytelling—including projects for brands like Yeti Cycles, SCL Health, Ute Water, and the TV show Mission Unstoppable—Ammon believes creative storytelling through social media is key to genuine community engagement. Having grown up in Fruita, he uses social media’s reach to share his hometown’s unique stories, encourage community involvement, and support local businesses and events. When he’s not crafting content, you’ll find him taking care of his houseplants, riding his bike around town, hanging out with his family, or cooking something way too complicated.

In this presentation, Ammon will cover the basics of social media, best practices, and how you can incorporate your own storytelling to build trust, strengthen your brand, and grow your reach online.

Coffee Club is an event organized by FWorks, a program of the Business Incubator Center, to bring business acumen, entrepreneurial discussions, and networking opportunities to small business owners in the Fruita area.  Networking with Coffee Club attendees allows businesses to discuss their small business experiences and provide information of interest to others in our local small business community, beyond just spreading the word about their business.
