MLS Senior Care wins Outstanding Client of the Year award
The International Business Innovation Association (InBIA) named Business Incubator Center client MLS Senior Care the winner of the Outstanding Client of the Year award at its 34th Annual International Conference on Business Incubation held in June. Each year, InBIA honors business incubator programs, clients, graduates, and those in the entrepreneurial ecosystem that exemplify the best of the industry.
“It’s rare that all of the elements of a business come together in such a meaningful manner,” says Jon Maraschin, Executive Director at the Business Incubator Center. “Diana is the epitome of a smart, savvy, and caring business owner with a company that so positively impacts our community, her clients, and her staff. Having MLS Senior Care in our community is truly a blessing. Diana and her team are simply amazing.”
“On behalf or MLS Senior Care, I am so honored and humbled to receive this incredible International Business Incubation Association Outstanding Client of the Year award! It is amazing what one company can accomplish with the right tribe,” says Diana Conner, founder, and owner of MLS Senior Care. “None of this would be possible without the Grand Junction Incubator and the amazing classes they offer, my mentor Helen Roe, Julie Morey, the Grand Junction SBDC, my husband Todd Reed, and last, but most importantly, the amazing team at MLS Senior Care.”
MLS Senior Care is a caregiving agency launched by Conner in 2016 while she attended the Grand Junction SBDC’s 12-week strategic business planning course, LEADING EDGE. Over the past four years, Diana has grown the business to 80 employees, 50 being full-time, providing 1,600 – 1,700 hours of care per week including wellness checks, meal preparation, companionship, and other overall wellness programs.
The Outstanding Client of the Year award recognizes clients that entrepreneurship and incubator centers are most proud of. The award provides the centers the opportunity to showcase these clients to the incubation industry worldwide and the public. While recipients have usually been recognized in-person at InBIA’s annual international conference, this year’s awards were announced virtually.
