Pronto Bronto

Kenny and Andrew, Co-Founders

A creative partnership, built on vision, hard work, and the freedom to do things differently.

Some businesses begin with a formal plan. Others grow from partnerships built over years of working side by side.

For Kenny and Andrew, founders of Pronto Bronto, that creative alignment developed naturally. The two had crossed paths in restaurant kitchens across Colorado for years before eventually working together at the Hot Tomato in Fruita. Both had independently imagined starting something of their own, and when the opportunity arose to purchase a small food trailer, they took the leap together.

What followed wasn’t a conventional startup, it was something far more creative.

Pronto Bronto quickly developed a distinct identity, blending culinary skill, graphic design, and storytelling into a mobile food business that reflects both founders’ strengths. Andrew, a graphic designer by trade, created the brand’s unmistakable visual presence, while Kenny, with a background in writing and communications, helped shape its voice.

Together, they built a business that feels intentional at every level, from menu development to design, marketing, and customer experience.

But creativity alone doesn’t build a business. The early days required long hours, overlapping jobs, and an unwavering commitment to making it work.

“It was a full-time job while we were still working other jobs,” Andrew recalls. “That overlap period was rough, but once we committed to it fully, it allowed us to grow.”

As their business expanded, Pronto Bronto found a home at the Business Incubator Center’s commercial kitchen, where access to storage, prep space, and a supportive entrepreneurial community allowed them to operate more efficiently and professionally.

More importantly, the Incubator provided something less tangible but equally valuable: the freedom to develop their business on their own terms.

Rather than forcing a rigid model, the Incubator gave Kenny and Andrew the space to experiment, refine their concept, and build a business that reflects their unique partnership. Along the way, they formed strong relationships with fellow entrepreneurs and developed creative collaborations including designing custom beer cans with Ramblebine Brewery and partnering with bands and local artists on special events. They found a perfect location on Ramblebine Brewery’s popular outdoor patio space on the corner of Colorado and 5th where they fit right into the local vibe (and pair perfectly with a craft beer) every Wednesday through Saturday.

Today, Pronto Bronto operates as a full-time business, expanding its capabilities with additional equipment and planning for continued growth. Their success is rooted not only in a distinctive concept, but in the discipline and persistence required to bring that concept to life.

Pronto Bronto’s story is a reminder that entrepreneurship doesn’t follow a single formula. With the right support and the determination to do the work creative ideas can grow into sustainable businesses that enrich the character and economy of the community.
